I have been building scaffold for better than 20 years.I have seen the industry change tremendously.It has ,and all ways will be hard physically demanding work.Not to mention the mental aspect of it.It takes a special breed to walk the walk and talk the talk.We are the toughest trade that there is.We usually must man handle our components instead of using cranes or other means.We are usually the first ones in requiring us to work in all kinds of conditions .Scaffold builders are the very back bone for the industrial building trades!! It would be impossible for other trades to work in power plants,chemical plants,paper mills,refineries without us.Not to mention boilers.For those of you who have been there you know you have to grin and bear it build it and in a short time tear it down.
SCAFFOLD DAWGS is more a state of mind than a name ,When you walk thru the gates of whatever plant you are working or going into the belly of the beast .Hold your heads up,straighten that back,With out you or your kind a lot of people could not do their jobs.You are the very few!!!!The damn proud !!!!!!YOU ARE THE DAWGS!!!!!!

SITE GUIDE:

I built this site for you the scaffold builder ,I manage its contents as well as it direction. Most of the pages are self explaining in their titles ,some may be confusing.So with this in mind I will give a short explanation of each page.Also if there is something I am overlooking ,something that I should add send me an e-mail I will be glad to listen .Keep in mind that I am just like you,a scaffold builder,not a computer wizard or a english major ,so if you see a mistake just let me know. The first page here just kinda explains the whole idea behind the site.Since I started this most of the guys I work with started calling me the dawg.No I am not the dawg if you read this we are the DAWGS !! We as scaffold builders are the Dawgs .I'm sure that most of you have heard the expression "A dog gets treated better than that" Well in some of the conditions we have to work in I am sure they do.Thats why we are the DAWGS we grin and bear it then do it!!!!!The second page is pretty much the same.Dont hate what you do BE PROUD OF IT! Then comes the DAWG POUND.You can send your pictures in and I will post them as long as they are within O.S.H.A. regulations.I just cant have a site for professional builders with pictures of men acting like monkeys on it .{even tho it happens} we do not need pictures of it.As Doug Holman says "YOU ONLY GET ONE OOPS AT A HUNDRED FOOT" . Then I have a forum ,really there are three different types on here .You can sign in gripe ,bitch,brag,whatever you wanna do.I mean really !! However if they are too obsene I will remove them . Then the crane signals I think its something we should all know.Some of them are animated {yea Mikey like a cartoon!!}If you click on them they will move.The DAWGLOG is just to leave your info incase you want for whatever reason. The safety page is one of my favorites its a bunch of old pictures of when they built the Empire State building.Whew!!! I think they had more than lunch in thier dinner buckets!!!!!!! The SCAFFOLD VIDEOS are great !!!!I have found a bunch and they are all good .I will change them now and then.The newest page is some surveys take a look and vote if you want to.It dont cost you a cent it ,but check it out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The last page is SCAFFOLD DAWG products I have t-shirts ,hooded sweat shirts,blue jean shirts,stainless steel coffee cups.I will have jackets hopefully scaffold tools and rigs,and alot more to come .My hopes that everyone gets something and leaves something here,If nothing else when you are trying to explain what we do for a living you can at least show some one a video!!!!!
